It is hand cream season and there are so many choices out there we didn’t want you to waste money on expensive, overpromising brands when some of the most effective creams are under $10. Here are a few of my favorite picks. Please feel free to comment below on your favorite.
Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Hand Cream ($8.99) is an oldie but a goodie. This cream has been around for a long time, and has saved my digits through some rough winters. It literally creates a barrier on the skin to lock in moisture.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream ($4.49) is a fabulous nighttime cream. It tends to be too greasy for daytime use. However, it is known for it’s healing power, especially for people who suffer with cracked cuticles.
Aveeno Intense Relief Repair Cream ($6.99) is perfect for daytime or nighttime use. My Dermatologist recommended it to me and I made it part of my stocking stuffer this year. The breakthrough formula contains pure oat essence and ceramides, essential lipids found deep within the surface of the skin that help in restoring the skin's protective function. You will see an improvement in as little as three days. This is perfect for someone with sensitive skin.
L'OCCITANE Shea Butter Hand Cream ($10-$26) may be pricey, but it’s worth every penny. A little goes a long way with this intense moisturizer. The key ingredients are 20% Shea Butter, vitamin E, honey and sweet almond extract. This combination will nourish your skin while protecting it. It glides on and absorbs within seconds.
Give your hands a fresh beginning for the New Year. With the proper skincare, you can have smooth, youthful hands all winter long.
