Makeup And A Change In Hair Color

By: Karen Cecilia
May 26, 2009

Q. If I change my haircolor, do I change my makeup?

A. Hair color has such an influence on the intensity of colors on your skin. So usually it’s a safe bet to say yes. I think it could be as easy as a brighter or deeper tone of blush. A slight change in the lipstick or gloss. Or maybe adding a change to your contour color in the crease of your eyeshadow. You skin color did not change, although it may look more vibrant due to your new color. So keep your foundation tone the same. Maybe just add some bronzer.
Have fun with your colors. It may be just the thing you need to get out of a beauty rut.
