The Perfect Ponytail

By: Maret
January 24, 2010

The tight ponytail is such a classic look. But how do stylists get perfectly combed hair straight back without bumps or lumps? For years, impressive hairstylists have made perfect ponytails using a rubber band and two bobby pins. This is easy for a hairstylist to do on others but an impossible technique on yourself.

If you hate the lumps that occur after you put your perfectly brushed hair into a rubber band, then you need to know about Bungee Bands. Yes, the design is a rip off of the cargo bungee but these are teeny tiny.

Bungee Bands aren't complicated. Brush your ponytail just right. Then attach the hook to your thumb, wrap the elastic around and around until it is really tight, then clip the hooks together. With a little practice you may want to abandon the band and be all about the bungee!
